"Resting is a generative state. You generate ideas, you are connecting with your body … There’s a portal that opens when you go into a rested state that allows you to see things different, that allows you to have a moment outside of grind culture, that allows you to connect with something deeper outside of yourself." - Tricia Hersey, The Nap Ministry

Come and inhabit two glorious, uninterrupted hours of restorative yoga. In this practice of radical rest, we come together to lie down in a range of positions supported by bolsters, blocks and blankets. This is a freedom practice, where you get to take a break from doing activities, planning or prioritising, and get to be. You come to rest and repair, disrupting damaging links between productivity and self-worth and centring your self, your body, your needs.

If you're tired or frazzled, busy or anxious, overwhelmed or your monkey mind is up to tricks; if you're in need of some time alone, time to unwind, close your eyes and rest your body, this session is for you.

You might sleep, or sometimes your consciousness might hover somewhere between being awake and asleep; either way it’s “working” via your participation. You can’t get rest wrong. Rest is a practice - it can take some time to give ourselves permission to regularly rest, but once we do, significant shifts can follow in terms of mood, creativity, our ability to set boundaries and look after ourselves and each other.

Maximum 8 students. I recommend bringing an extra blanket and/or cushion or pillow. Everyone welcome (including pregnant women).
